Annual Christmas Parade at Murrells Inlet

Murrells Inlet knows how to throw a party!

On Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 3:00 p.m., the City of Murrells Inlet is holding its Annual Christmas Parade. The parade starts at Highway 17 Business and Wilcox Avenue (close to Booty’s) and goes south on Business 17.

The Murrells Inlet Girl Scout Troop will be collecting canned food, and Cub Scout Troop 360 will be collecting unwrapped toys, all of which will be collected en route for charities.

After the parade, the Murrells Inlet tree lighting ceremony will take place at Morse Landing Park (next to Hot Fish Club, which is at 4911 Highway 17 Business). Snowfall is expected during the tree lighting ceremony.

But that’s not all! There a party in Morse Landing Park after the tree lighting ceremony. The party includes visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus; a bonfire; live Christmas music; free cookies, hot cocoa, and peppermint cupcakes; and a movie in the park.

You may want to bring a blanket and/or a chair.
